Devotees observe fast and worship at this time and the 41 days long sadhana ends on Hanuman Jayanti.

Hanuman Deeksha is a time of special worship and fasting. During the initiation period of 41 days, the devotees of Hanuman ji perform special pujas and follow Sattvikta. It is an austere penance in which the devotees wear garlands, and orange dhoti and remain without shoes during the fasting period.

These days of penance end with visits to important pilgrimage sites and temples dedicated to Hanuman or Lord Rama, such as the Bhadrachalam Rama Temple in Andhra Pradesh, the Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Temple or the Kondagattu Hanuman shrine in Karimnagar district.
